Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears kicks off NFL’s 100th season

The 100th Year of the NFL Will Start on Thursday night when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field live on Sky Sports Action and Main Event.

Here is what to expect…
Green Bay (6-9-1 last season) finally made a head coaching change in the end of last year after 13 decades of Mike McCarthy and his crime that had plenty of success but finally become stale and predictable. Matt LaFleur, that arrives as a Sean McVay’ disciple’ from Tennesee, will at the minimum imply defenses will not know what to anticipate.
The defense has seen a complete revamp, together using the Packers uncharacteristically spending big in free agency (Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith and Adrian Amos) and incorporating two first-round selections in the 2019 NFL Draft (Rashan Gary and Darnell Savage Jr).
After an eight-year playoff absence, the Bears (12-4) returned to the postseason. First-year head coach Matt Nagy was appointed athlete of the Year, second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky tripled his death touchdowns (24) in the year prior and the defense allowed a league-low 17.7 points. There was at home A first-round playoff depart finally a significant disappointment.
Last year’s breakout means Chicago have heavy expectations this season, and how they react to the reduction of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio (Denver’s new head trainer ) can go a very long way to determining their achievement. Will Chuck Pagano be able to replicate the dominance of last year, although the players continue to be there?
It begins with his target along with Aaron Rodgers last year, Davante Adams, who hauled from 111 passes. But the big question is: How can offense look with LaFleur accountable? Will Rodgers be slinging it? What’s the plan with the game and Aaron Jones?
Green Bay have a secondary with playmakers aplenty. Jaire Alexander was outstanding as a beginner, and newcomer Darnell Savage, Adrian Amos and Kevin King Form the rest of the four. Can they make a employee turnover that is game-changing?
Chicago fans may wish to view Mitchell Trubisky progress in two with Nagy. Can he return to his 2015 Pro Bowl form today, although wideout Allen Robinson was coming from injury last season?
Rookie running back David Montgomery is predicted to have an immediate impact, and a rushing attack that averaged over 120 yards per game last season could be helped by him.
Among a whole team of studs that are defensive, there is Khalil Mack. In last year’s opener against the Pack, he managed one recovery, one forced fumble, just one sack, an interception and a touchdown. Plus, he added 2.5 sacks at the return fixture. He could win the match for Chicago.
The all time series record between both is 97-95-6 in favour of this Packers. Last season, the spoils were shared 1-1 with both teams winning by a single score. These groups are hard to separate.
But we sturdy secondary of Chicago and are looking for the Green Bay crime and how they will deal with the, tackling linebackers.
The last time the two groups met, Rodgers was stifled – 42 passes threw with just 25 completions, zero touchdowns and one pick – and was sacked five times. Rusher Jamaal Williams just managed 55 yards on the ground too.
The attack of laFleur – and the way he calls the game against this shield – are the key to the matchup.
