Weekend Report: November 18, 2011

We were very pleased to welcome Dakota Landen and his friends for an overnight on Friday and we were even more pleased with the paranormal turn-out. After the equipment was set we went out for the hunt. The night started a little bit slow, just odd feelings and such, and took a turn very quickly. Tanner, a Gentleman from the group, felt as though something passed through him. He described feeling as if a cold breeze went straight through his body, According to him the feeling remained for just a moment then left as quickly as it came. This got us excited!

We moved our team down to the event center and the name did not disappoint–many “events” happened. We found ourselves sort of avoiding the kitchen area, mainly due to light, and sitting in the darkest points of the basement. While down there we heard a loud BANG come from the area nobody occupied. We didn’t mention this noise to everyone, as to not raise attention to it, hoping it would happen again. It did, though the second time the noise occurred it happened right next to our other guide Katy’s face. After that, it was certainly time to take a closer look. My first thought was that it could have been a mechanical noise, like you hear on a fridge or stove. When trying to recreate the sound we found a very thin piece of metal connected to the dishwashing machine, we banged on it and it was a DEAD match. This machine was not powered on and we could not debunk the noise. We then decided to leave a camera, unmanned, in the kitchen area. Luckily we heard the noise once more on that camera and again when the two boys went in to get the camera. I cannot explain this noise! (We hope to get our hands on the pictures to see if anything was caught on film.)

Heading down to our storefront basement we again found that we were not the only beings down there, even though we were the only ones you could see. We split into two groups, one went to the brothel entrance and the other went to the ‘cage.’ Both teams experienced their fair share of activity. We at the cage got a little too much. We decided that provocation would be the best bet to get something out in the open. I declared, “I am in control of this space, not you.” Tanner agreed: “Zach has control of this space.” About a second later, I felt as though someone pushed me; the force actually caused me to lose my grounding and fall from a squat to the floor. I have been touched before but have never felt an energy that strong. It was awesome!

The brothel entrance team was experiencing their own share of crazy occurrences. They kept hearing footsteps above them (there was no other occupant of the building at this time ) and claimed to hear a conversation from the staircase. We tried to corner the conversation but when we met in the middle there was not a person in sight.

After those major events, the night slowed back down until we concluded our investigation. What a good night. The guys will be posting there video as soon as they get it edited and we will be posting it here as soon as they get it to us!

Boo,
Zach
